Middle School Student Advisory Packages

Many families want to gain a competitive edge and provide a more focused learning environment, by selecting a private school. We have experience supporting this journey for both religious and secular private high schools. Our vibe for working with teens is supportive, empowering and fun. We keep them on track with their deadlines, while raising their confidence through positive conversations which show them their future is limitless. For some middle school students, it’s advantageous to begin discussing the college process early. This can help reduce anxiety and evoke excitement over the endless options for students to pursue in terms of career, athletics, volunteer opportunities, internships and school and community social clubs. We are wholly dedicated towards making the process of discussing these adult topics, age appropriate and upbeat as not to intimidate middle school students.

As a premier Academic Consultant, we  work with your teen to:

• Get to know them and their interests through a mentoring based approach
• Partner with them to advise on high school & specialization (if applicable) selection
• Work to prepare a list of schools balanced between reaches, average chance and safety schools
• Baseline your son/ daughter to the rest of the country by researching and providing admissions statistics
• Help maintain a realistic approach to the process by sharing personal, practical and professional information about careers, lifestyles based by job, & balancing work, education, sports, and activities
• Help fill out and edit any high school application admissions forms, required information in Naviance, and additional forms as necessary
• Share the use of our custom student resume and activity sheet template and complete one together with the student
• Advise on standardized testing including SSAT, ISEE, HSPT (testing for private high schools) and ultimately, SAT & ACT test scores, teacher recommendations, and successfully partnering with guidance counselors, coaches, and other associated parties to prepare in advance for the high school & ultimately college admissions process
• Set-up, remind about, and enforce timelines, due dates etc.
• Support students with specific homework assignments focused on teaching time management, exceptional writing skills and critical analysis 
• Diminish stress for the entire family by proving neutral support, data, coaching, and encouragement to all members

As an Academic Consultant we will not:

• Complete Financial Aid Forms 
• Sign your child’s name physically or electronically on any documents as related to this process
• Breach your family’s confidentiality
